Our very own AYSO U16 player, Andrea R., performed the National Anthem to a stadium filled with AYSO players, families, and volunteers from across the country at the 2025 National Games, and it still gives us chills.
Proud member of U.S. Soccer
Soccer Starts Here... and can take you anywhere.
Haji and Cristian prove something every AYSO alum already knows: the game doesn’t care where you start.
A local field, a volunteer coach, and a love for soccer can take a kid anywhere, even to the World Cup.
Here’s to the players on the roster, to a team making history, and to every kid lacing up right now, dreaming about what comes next.
It starts with you.
It starts at AYSO.
Let’s goooooooooaaallll!! 🇺🇸⚽️
Did you know Pelé was an Honorary Member of AYSO? 🇧🇷
As Brazil advances to the Round of 16, we’re looking back at the day a legend spent time with us. In 1982, Pelé visited the AYSO National Office to meet our volunteers and young players, and we are proud that he called himself an AYSO supporter.
Pelé was an admirer of American grassroots youth soccer, where so many kids get to play. Making sure everyone has that opportunity is what we mean by “Everyone Plays.”
Becky G loves the beautiful game, y sus raíces corren profundo!
Shout out to @iambeckyg : AYSO alum, six-time Latin GRAMMY nominee, and part-owner of @weareangelcity !
Recently, Paula Mejia wrote in @players magazine about a former AYSO player named Rebbeca who has fond memories of growing up in a place where family and soccer were woven together.
She didn’t dream of going pro. For her, the game was about community: World Cup watch parties with the family, abuelos cheering on El Tri, primos crowded around the TV for what she calls a united experience. AYSO was part of that fabric.
Rebbeca laced up with @ayso_region21_hawthorne and @ayso187mv for five years.
Years later, music brought her back to the game she loved as a kid.
That AYSO alum is Rebbeca Gomez, the artist you know as Becky G.
Everyone Plays. Y a veces, ahí es exactamente donde empieza la historia.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads who coach, ref, lead, cheer, and guide America’s youth.
AYSO communities across the country are throwing World Cup watch parties, and the soccer energy is contagious! ⚽️🇺🇸 In Palos Verdes, CA, @ayso_palosverdes drew nearly 1,000 fans to @thepromenadepv for the USA vs. Paraguay match. Find an AYSO watch party near you and come cheer with us!
To every kid playing grassroots soccer at AYSO: look up Cristian Roldan on the USMNT’s 26-player World Cup 2026 squad. ⚽️
Cristian was like you once: he was a kid playing soccer in his local AYSO Region @aysoregion603 and falling in love with the game. Now, he captains the Seattle Sounders FC and has earned his place on the @usmnt World Cup roster for the second time.
Good luck, Cristian! You’re inspiring the next generation. 🇺🇸
The AYSO United 2008 Girls team from the South Bay hub was hard at work reviewing game footage as they prepare for next week’s DPL National Championships in Virginia Beach.
Most of the girls have been together at AYSO since they were 8 years old. Now they’re preparing to compete at one of the highest competition levels of youth soccer.
Good luck to the girls and to all the United teams closing out their seasons. The entire AYSO family is cheering you on!
Every World Cup player started somewhere, and for Haji Wright, it was on a grassroots AYSO soccer field at @aysoregion19. ⚽️
Today, @hajiwright takes the pitch at SoFi Stadium as the @usmnt opens its World Cup run, proof that “Everyone Plays” can lead anywhere. Good luck, Haji, and to the entire USMNT! You’re inspiring the next generation of soccer players. 🇺🇸
The World Cup is here! ⚽️ AYSO families across the nation are feeling the energy and celebrating at free watch parties at parks, community centers, restaurants, and pop-ups.
🎉 Share your AYSO watch party moments and tag @ayso_soccer on Instagram so we can celebrate with you!
⚽️🏅Celebration Vibes 🍩🎉
A big Texas-size shoutout to AYSO’s Official Goal Provider @satorsoccer for making this year’s NAGM Vendor Experience extra special as our turf field sponsor. Thank you for bringing the game to the vendor hall! ⚽
Gooooooooooool!!! 🎉 In Texas, AYSO created the World’s Longest Spirit Tunnel with 250+ AYSO volunteers and 172 kids!!! 🏃🏃♂️🏃♀️
Kicking off Memorial Day weekend, AYSO’s Senior Director of Programs and Education, Scott Snyder, participated in a panel discussion at the “Soccer Medicine Updates and New Innovations: World Cup 2026” conference at LA Galaxy’s Dignity Health Sports Park. Moderated by Vincent Minjares of the Aspen Institute, Scott spotlighted AYSO’s leadership in ACL injury awareness and our ongoing partnership with @cedarssinai to protect the health of youth soccer players.
Freedom isn’t free, and we are forever grateful to the brave men and women who paid the ultimate price to protect it. Today, our AYSO community remembers and honors them. 🇺🇸

Over the weekend, Cobi Jones was honored by the LA Galaxy at a statue unveiling ceremony at Legends Plaza. It was a wonderful tribute to a true legend of U.S. Soccer and one of the game’s most respected ambassadors.
Before the World Cups, before the USMNT caps record, and before becoming an MLS icon, Cobi was an AYSO player in Westlake Village, CA. His journey is a reminder of what can grow from a love of the game, a supportive community, and the chance for every player to step on the field and play.

When Verónica Pérez started playing at AYSO, she began a journey that would eventually take her to the world stage.
“AYSO is where I first started playing soccer. I just fell in love with the game. My mom still reminds me to this day that she would get the biggest smile seeing me out there playing because I looked so free and happy,” said Pérez.
“I didn’t know then that soccer would take me around the world or lead me to play in two World Cups, but AYSO gave me that first spark. I was a very shy and quiet kid, but on the soccer field my personality could shine. The game was fun, it was my safe space, and I belonged there.
To all the young soccer players: dream big and believe in yourself, even if you’re quiet or unsure sometimes. I was a really shy kid growing up, but soccer gave me confidence and a place to express myself. Work hard, enjoy the game, and don’t be afraid to chase big goals, even when things get hard or the odds are against you. Step into your power because you never know where the game can take you.”
Let’s Goooooo!!!
🚨 It’s Expo Season at AYSO!
Volunteers from across the country are coming together to learn, collaborate, and strengthen their AYSO Regions for the year ahead. We’ve officially kicked things off in Chattanooga, TN and Detroit, MI, and this is just the beginning!
AYSO is proud to announce a new national education partnership with The Autism Community in Action (TACA) to expand inclusive soccer education across the country.
Through this collaboration, AYSO coaches and volunteers will have access to:
• Autism-focused workshops at select 2026 AYSO EXPO events
• Live, virtual, and on-demand training modules
• Integrated resources within AYSO Coach Training and EPIC Coach Certification
This builds on our long-standing EPIC (Everyone Plays In our Community) program and strengthens our commitment to creating positive, supportive soccer environments for children of all abilities.
Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤️⚽️
🎉 Good luck to AYSO alums, New England Patriots kicker Andy Borregales and Seattle Seahawks kicker Jason Myers, as they face off at today’s Big Game! ⚽➡️🏈

ACL injuries are one of the most common and impactful injuries in youth sports. Understanding how they happen and how to help prevent them is key to keeping our young athletes healthy, confident, and active.
