AYSO Core
The Heart of the AYSO Experience
AYSO Core is the foundation of AYSO soccer and the program where most players begin and grow their soccer journey. Built around AYSO’s Philosophies, Core provides a fun, inclusive, and development-focused environment where players can learn the game, build confidence, and create lasting friendships.
Children in colorful uniforms play a soccer game on an outdoor field.
Whether a child is stepping onto the field for the first time or continuing to develop their skills year after year, AYSO Core is designed to provide a positive soccer experience centered on participation, growth, and enjoyment.
More than just a soccer program, AYSO Core helps players develop teamwork, resilience, leadership, sportsmanship, and a lifelong love of the game.
  • What Makes AYSO Core Different?

AYSO Core is guided by a child-first philosophy that prioritizes player development and positive experiences over wins and losses.

    Players benefit from:

    • Meaningful playing time and active participation
    • Age-appropriate training and competition
    • Supportive coaches focused on development and encouragement
    • Balanced teams that create competitive and enjoyable games
    • A welcoming environment for players of all skill levels
    • Opportunities to build friendships and confidence both on and off the field

The focus is on helping every player learn, improve, and enjoy the game at their own pace.

  • Built on the AYSO Philosophies

The Core program is rooted in the Philosophies that have guided AYSO for generations.

    Everyone Plays®

Every player is guaranteed meaningful participation. Players develop skills, confidence, and a love for the game by being actively involved on the field.

    Balanced Teams

Teams are formed to create fair, competitive, and enjoyable games that support player development and learning.

    Open Registration

AYSO welcomes players of all experience and ability levels. There are no tryouts required for participation in the Core program.

    Positive Coaching

Coaches are trained to encourage effort, learning, teamwork, and growth while helping players build confidence and self-esteem.

    Good Sportsmanship

Players learn respect for teammates, opponents, referees, coaches, and the game itself. Success is measured by character and effort as much as results.

    Player Development

Every aspect of the program is designed to support long-term growth through age-appropriate training, meaningful game experiences, and opportunities to learn new skills.

  • A Program for Every Player

AYSO Core creates an environment where players can challenge themselves, make friends, stay active, and enjoy the game of soccer in a supportive community setting.

Whether your child is new to soccer or continuing their development, AYSO Core provides a positive experience built around participation, learning, and fun.

Because when kids enjoy the game, they stay in the game.
